Personalized Father's Day keychain: what to engrave, which model

The text to engrave, depending on what he agrees to show

Initials. A compromise. Loved ones recognize them, a third party sees only a monogram. The calendar accepts two initials on one of its two text lines.

A word just for him. "Dad," a family nickname: short, without a first name, understood by loved ones and common for others. On the calendar, it fits on one text line, limited to 20 characters.

A date. On the calendar, a heart surrounds the chosen day: a birth, a wedding, an encounter. For others, these are numbers: no one reads a date like a first name. Associated with initials or "Dad," it's the safest option when his reaction is difficult to anticipate.

The remaining step is verification: exact spelling, accents, capitalization, compound first names, number of characters allowed by the model. What you enter is exactly what we engrave. You can modify or cancel your order for free within 24 hours of its validation; after this period, the keychain is already in production and can no longer be modified or canceled. Which personalized keychain to choose for your father

Look at what he willingly shows and how many people you want to name. The five models range from $29.90 to $39.90.

Nothing displayed. The calendar keychain ($29.90) is the support for the date option described above, with its two lines of text.

A single word, clearly visible. The first name keychain ($29.90) does not have a plate: it features a single first name, up to 15 characters, in connected cursive script. The content is limited to one word, but that word is immediately visible. Rule this out if he prefers discretion.

For a large or blended family. The Tree of Life keychain ($34.90) accommodates one to six first names, one per branch. It avoids having to choose who to include and who to leave out. Limit to check: a maximum of ten characters per first name, which excludes some hyphenated names.

The desire to name everyone, including pets. The Family keychain ($34.90) features silhouettes of children, dogs, or cats, each engraved with the name you provide: 43 compositions, up to four first names with a maximum of 15 characters. This is the opposite intention of the calendar, for a similar price.

An item meant to be shared. The heart-shaped puzzle keychain ($39.90) separates into two to five pieces, each with its own ring and an engraved first name, a maximum of ten characters per name, just like on the Tree of Life. Your father keeps one, and the others go with his loved ones. Each piece alone says nothing; reunited, they form a heart. Rule this out if he finds this shape too demonstrative.

Allow 48 hours for engraving, 3 days for shipping, then approximately one week for transport: expect 10 to 15 days in total. These lead times may vary depending on the number of current orders. For a specific date like Father's Day, please allow at least three weeks.

When a keychain is not the right gift

He is attached to his current keychain. Whether he received it, inherited it, or simply adopted it, he might not want to replace it, and yours could remain in its box.

He no longer really has a set of keys. If he unlocks his car without a key, enters work with a badge, and gets into his home with a code, he has nothing to attach.

He regularly loses his keys. A personalized item gets lost with the rest. And a lost set of keys bearing first names gives the finder unnecessary information.
